Rick Friedman

Rick Friedman has been a photojournalist, portrait, travel and model photographer for over 4 decades. Based in Boston, he travels the world for numerous publications, corporations, advertising assignments and film and television productions.

Rick has been teaching his “Location Lighting Workshops” aka “Lighting and Laughing” for over 20 year. He has now joined forces with noted photographer Rick Ferro to form “Rick & Rick PhotoWorkshops”. A unique hands on approach to photo education.

Rick is known for his practical, creative lighting. He has taught workshops at PhotoPlus, WPPI, Imaging USA, SWPP(London), Xposure (UAE), PPoC (Canada), White House News Photographers Association, CanAm Photo Expo, numerous PPA events, and many other workshops.

Rick has appeared on Creative Live, B&H TV, PhotoPlus, “Sharjah Today” (UAE, done in Arabic, that was interesting), Sky TV, Australia, “Luminar Coffee Break” with Vanelli, “Tog Chat” with Joe Edelman, Photo Focus, The Photographer Show, Photofocus, Tamron Recipes “The Spin It Social Hour” and numerous other podcasts and webcasts.
